Everyone should read at least 1 book in the
Obama trilogy, Dreams from My Father, The Audacity of Hope, and newly released, Change We Can Believe In: Barack Obama's Plan to Renew America's Promise.
These award winning books are both written and narrated by Barack Obama. Get to know the candidate and his views – inspirational!
And in the other corner… you have to listen to McCain’s book, Faith of My Father’s, a Family Memoir. This is the story of the McCains, a family with a distinguished history of naval
service: John Sr. (also known as Slew or Popeye), John Jr., and John III, the author and currently the Republican candidate. Senator McCain pays homage to his grandfather and father by relating tales of their significant contributions in World War II and Vietnam. Nearly half of the book deals with the senator's five and a half years as a prisoner of war in North Vietnam, captured after his plane
was shot down. The reader learns in some detail the horrors inflicted on the senator but also how he was able to remain strong during his long incarceration. Anyone interested in learning more about John McCain would be well advised to read this book.
But who is the candidate that has caused the most uproar? Sarah Palin! Read her biography to learn more about this new political unknown - to be released in October.

Hot, Flat, and Crowded: Why We Need a Green Revolution--and How It Can Renew America – Thomas Friedman
In his brilliant, essential new book, Friedman takes a fresh and provocative look at two of the biggest challenges we face today: America’s surprising loss of focus and national purpose since 9/11; and the global environmental crisis, which is affecting everything from food to fuel to forests. In this groundbreaking account of where we stand now, he shows us how the solutions to these two big problems are linked--how we can restore the world and revive America at the same time.
The Way of the World: A Story of Truth and Hope in an Age of Extremism – Ron Suskind
In a sweeping, propulsive, and multilayered narrative, The Way of the World investigates how America relinquished the moral leadership it now
desperately needs to fight the real threat of our era: a nuclear weapon in the hands of terrorists. Truth, justice, and accountability become more than mere words in this story. Suskind shows where the most neglected dangers lie in the story of The Armageddon Test a desperate gamble to send undercover teams into the world s nuclear black market to frustrate the efforts of terrorists trying to procure weapons-grade uranium. In the end, he finally reveals for the first time the explosive falsehood underlying the Iraq War and the entire Bush presidency. For anyone hoping to exercise truly informed consent and begin the process of restoring the values and hope along with the moral clarity and earned optimism at the heart of the American tradition, The Way of the World is a must-read.

In it, Moore answers the nation's most pressing questions: "Why is John McCain so angry?,""Do the Democrats Still Drink from a Sippy Cup and Sleep with the Light On?," Can I get into the Electoral College with only a 2.0 gpa?" and "How many Democrats does it take to lose the most winnable election in American history?" - Looking for some humor in this year’s election? Michael Moore will have you laughing!
Aristotle and an Aardvark Go to Washington – Thomas Cathcart and Daniel Klein
Thomas Cathcart and Daniel Klein, authors of the national bestseller Plato and a Platypus Walk into a Bar, aren’t falling for any election year claptrap—and they don’t want their readers to either! In Aristotle and an Aardvark Go to Washington, our two favorite philosopher-comedians return just in time to save us from the double-speak, flim-flam, and alternate reality of politics in America. Deploying jokes and cartoon as well as the occasional insight from Aristotle and his peers, Cathcart and Klein explain what politicos are up to when they state: “The absence of evidence is not the evidence of absence.” (Donald Rumsfeld), “It depends on what the meaning of the word ‘is’ is.” (Bill Clinton), or even, “We hold these truths to be self-evident…” (Thomas Jefferson, et al).
