What is the All Ears Mail Program?

Our mail program is a convenient and easy way to get audiobooks delivered to your home. We make available to Mail Program members our store's complete line of audiobooks for rent or sale.

There are 4 steps to our mail program:

1. Create a Reservation List of audiobooks. Go to our website (www.AllEarsAudiobooks.com), click on Sign In (upper right hand corner), create an account, browse our selection of audiobooks, and add them to your list.

2. Decide how many audiobooks you want to have checked out at a time (from 1 - 4 titles). You also select the format of the audiobooks you want (audio cds or mp3 cd format). Then call the store to activate your account (408-370-7003).

3. Receive your audiobook in the mail. Listen and enjoy. You can return your audiobook right away, or take as long as you want. There are no late charges - you determine how long you keep an audiobook.

4. Exchange your audiobook. Mail back your audiobook in its original mailer. As soon as we receive your audiobook, your next title will be on its way.

How Much Does it Cost?
The prices for the monthly mail program are the same as our regular unlimited memberships. There are no additional fees for us to mail you the audiobook. And, if you select the mp3 cd format, we include a mailer with return postage - just drop it into a mailbox and you're all set. Our membership prices are:

How do I sign up?
Its easy. First go to our web site at www.AllEarsAudiobooks.com/ and click on Sign In to get to set up your own On-Line Account. Then call or stop by the store to finalize the details (address, number of titles, billing info). Select the audiobooks you want to rent by adding them to your Reservation List. 

Who is All Ears Audiobooks?
All Ears Audiobooks is a local, independent book store that specializes in audiobooks. It is owned and operated by 3 women (all mothers and former professionals) who strongly believe in the value and benefits of audiobooks for both adults and children. We are the leading provider of audiobooks for rent and sale to individuals and corporations in the Bay Area. Our main retail store is in the El Paseo de Saratoga Shopping Center in San Jose. We carry the largest selection of audiobooks in the Bay Area, more than 5,000 titles to choose from, in CD, MP3, and cassette formats.

Membership Questions? 

What do you mean by "Monthly Audiobook Rental Plan"?
When you sign up for a Monthly Rental Plan you also decide how many audiobooks you want to rent at a time, from 1 to 4. You then listen at home, listen in your car, listen on your iPod, listen where ever you want. Take as long as you want to finish it. There are no due dates and no late fees. When you are done, mail the audiobook back to us and we will mail another from your Reservation List. You keep the book as long as you like. If you are in the area, you can also exchange books at our store.
Can anyone sign up for the Mailing Program?
Our Mailing Program is available for all Store Members. Just contact us and let us know you would like to receive your audiobooks through the mail.
How do I create my own Reservation List?
Its easy. Just go to our web site at www.AllEarsAudiobooks.com/ and click on Sign In to get to set up your own On-Line Account. You can search our audiobook inventory by Title, Author and Category. Select the audiobooks you want to rent by adding them to your Reservation List. 
How many books can I put on my Reservation List?
We recommend that you have at least 5 - 10 books on your list, but you can have as many as you like. Some customers have more than 20 on their list.
When are books mailed?
We mail out nyour next audiobook the day it is received. We send it by standard media mail which usually takes 2-3 days to arrive. You can always exchange your audiobook at the store.
What audiobook formats do you offer?
Our books are in standard CD format or in standard MP3 format.
What's the difference between abridged and unabridged audiobooks?
Unabridged audiobooks are recorded exactly as written. Abridged audiobooks are edited to a shorter length than the original book by the publisher.
How long can I keep the audiobook I'm listening to?
If you are a Mail Program Member you can keep them as long as you like. There is no limit to your rental period and there are no late charges. However, we encourage you to return a book as soon as you are finished so that you can get another one.
Which book from my Reservation List is selected for exchange that week?
We look at the priority of the books on your Reservation List and mail the highest priority book that is available.
What should I do if I lose the audiobook?
Please let us know as soon as you can. We will order a replacement copy of the audiobook and will charge your credit card for the replacement cost.
Can I exchange my audiobooks from your retail store in San Jose (El Paseo Shopping Center)?
Yes. In addition to mailing them back to us, you are welcome to exchange your book at our San Jose store. We encourage all our Mail Program members to visit the store when you are in the area.

Billing and Account Questions? 

How do I pay for my membership?
You will need to have your credit card available when you do your initial sign up. We will then automatically bill your credit card every month.
What credit cards do you accept?
We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express - including debit cards that carry those credit card services.
If I don't have a credit/debit card, are there any other forms of payment that you accept?
We only accept credit/debit cards for billing the Monthly Memberships.
How do I change my credit card information or expiration date?
Call the store at 408.370.7003 to give us the new information.
How can I stop my Rental Plan?
Send an email to info@AllEarsAudiobooks.com. Your membership will end on your next 30 day renewal date. We ask that you give us at least 72 hours notice prior to that date.
How do I change my email address?
Simply go to your on-line account page and click on the Account Information link.

Store Questions? 

Can I buy Audiobooks from All Ears?
Yes. We offer a broad selection of audiobooks for sale. Also, most of our rentals are also available for purchase.
What other services does All Ears provide?
We will be glad to special order any audiobook or hardcover book for our members. Just call the store and let us know what you would like. We can usually have it for you within 10 days.
